Premières vacances de l’année 2026… et premier atelier d’anglais dans nos superbes locaux !
Un immense merci à Marie et Bob qui ont animé cette séance avec humour, énergie et bienveillance. Un vrai moment de plaisir et d’apprentissage pour nos jeunes !
Apprendre en musique… et entre amis
Pour commencer, nous avons écouté une chanson pop sur l’importance de pouvoir compter sur ses amis. Les jeunes disposaient des paroles… mais 15 mots avaient disparu ! À eux de les retrouver simplement en écoutant la chanson. Résultat impressionnant : dès la première écoute, la majorité a identifié la plupart des mots manquants.
La séance s’est poursuivie par un échange en anglais autour de l’amitié, riche en idées et en participation.
Un défi Scrabble plein d’énergie
Place ensuite à un défi linguistique dynamique : former le plus de mots anglais possible en 6 minutes à partir de lettres de Scrabble. Mais avec une difficulté supplémentaire… toutes les minutes, deux nouvelles lettres venaient compliquer le jeu !
Une véritable frénésie de recherche s’est installée, du scrabbling around à grande vitesse et les jeunes ont trouvé des mots brillants. Nous savions que nous pouvions compter sur eux !
Une histoire à reconstruire… et à inventer
Pour finir, les participants ont relevé un défi narratif : remettre dans le bon ordre une courte histoire en anglais racontant la mésaventure d’une Rolls‑Royce endommagée dans une rue de Londres.
Mission accomplie avec brio : une véritable performance « Rolls-Royce » !
Et ce n’est pas tout… les jeunes ont ensuite imaginé la suite de l’histoire, en anglais, avec une créativité et une imagination débordantes.

English Workshop – 19th February 2026: Count on us for English!
The first school holidays of 2026… and our first English workshop of the year, held in our wonderful premises!
Huge thanks to Marie and Bob, who led the session with humour, warmth and enthusiasm. It was a real treat for our youngsters.
Learning through music… and friendship
We started by listening to a pop song about counting on friends for support. The youngsters had the lyrics in front of them — except for 15 missing words they had to identify just by listening.
The result was amazing: after only one listen, most of them filled in the majority of the missing words correctly.
We then had a lively discussion in English about the importance of friendship.
A fast-paced Scrabble challenge
Next came an energetic word-building challenge. Each youngster received Scrabble letters and had six minutes to form as many English words as possible — with a twist: every minute, two extra letters were added.
There was plenty of frantic “scrabbling around” as they searched for new words, and they came up with some brilliant ones. We knew we could count on them!
Rebuilding — and extending — a story
Finally, they tackled a short story in English about a damaged Rolls-Royce car in a London street — but with the events all mixed up. Their task: put the story back in the correct order.
They delivered a truly “Rolls-Royce” performance, quickly reconstructing the narrative.
Then they created their own continuation of the story in English — with wonderfully imaginative results.
