Ce mardi 14 avril, Atelier d’anglais en petit comité. Tasnim, Sarah et Andréa ont profité de leur après-midi pour progresser en anglais dans une ambiance à la fois ludique, conviviale et stimulante.
Au programme : immersion et bonne humeur !
Les jeunes ont commencé par un jeu de rôle les plongeant dans la peau de clients dans un restaurant au Royaume-Uni. À partir d’un menu entièrement en anglais, Elles ont passé leurs commandes… non sans quelques péripéties ! Le serveur (incarné par Bob) a en effet multiplié les erreurs. Mais loin de se laisser déstabiliser, les participants ont su réagir avec assurance, relever les incohérences, y compris des plats servis froids et résoudre la situation avec politesse et efficacité, en anglais bien sûr. Un exercice réussi haut la main… presque « du gâteau » !
La séance s’est poursuivie en musique avec l’écoute de deux chansons emblématiques. Paroles à l’appui, mais volontairement incomplètes, les jeunes ont dû faire preuve d’écoute et de concentration pour retrouver les mots manquants. Grâce à What a Wonderful World (Louis Armstrong) et Streets of London (Ralph McTell), ils ont enrichi leur vocabulaire tout en relevant le défi avec brio.
Ces écoutes ont également ouvert la porte à un échange enrichissant : malgré leur ancienneté, ces chansons continuent de résonner avec notre époque, preuve que certains messages restent universels.
Enfin, place à un jeu aussi amusant qu’exigeant : le « téléphone arabe » en version anglaise. Un message chuchoté de personne en personne… pour un résultat parfois surprenant ! Pourtant, nos jeunes ont su faire preuve d’une belle précision, limitant les écarts entre le message initial et sa version finale.
Une après-midi riche en apprentissages, en rires et en confiance, qui illustre parfaitement qu’apprendre une langue peut être à la fois sérieux… et profondément joyeux.

This Tuesday, April 14th, a small-group English workshop brought together Tasnim, Sarah and Andréa, who spent their afternoon improving their English in a fun, friendly and stimulating atmosphere.
On the agenda: immersion and good vibes!
The students began with a role-play activity, putting themselves in the shoes of customers in a restaurant in the United Kingdom. Using a fully English menu, they placed their orders… not without a few twists along the way! The waiter (played by Bob) made several mistakes. But far from being unsettled, the participants responded with confidence, pointed out the inconsistencies including dishes served cold and resolved the situation with politeness and efficiency, in English of course. A challenge brilliantly met… almost “a piece of cake”!
The session continued with music, listening to two iconic songs. With the lyrics provided but deliberately incomplete, the students had to demonstrate careful listening and concentration to identify the missing words. Thanks to What a Wonderful World (Louis Armstrong) and Streets of London (Ralph McTell), they expanded their vocabulary while rising to the challenge with great success.
These listening activities also led to an enriching discussion: despite their age, these songs still resonate today, proving that some messages are truly timeless.
Finally, it was time for a game that is as fun as it is challenging: the “telephone game” in English. A message whispered from one person to another… with sometimes surprising results! Yet, the students showed impressive accuracy, keeping differences between the original message and the final version to a minimum.
An afternoon full of learning, laughter and growing confidence, perfectly illustrating that learning a language can be both serious… and deeply enjoyable.
